Bisou Dates, based in Ottawa, offers a line of Medjool dates filled and covered with 70% dark chocolate. Considered a healthy treat, the fillings include Persian pistachios, walnuts, almond butter, liquorice, marzipan, Italian orange, salted almonds and caramel, and other delicious fillings. The 'Royal Ginger' is the only white lemon chocolate covered date. Bisou also has a line of six date butters. They have no additives or sugar due to the natural sweetness of medjool dates. Flavours include, Classic, Chocolate, Ginger, Pineapple, Lemon Zest, and Orange Blossom.

Bisou sells the dates individually or in gift boxes of six, nine and twelve. This is a wonderful treat for yourself, or as a gift.
Date butters are delicious on scones, pancakes, waffles, ice cream, and yoghurt. Some are especially delicious with a wine and cheese platter such as the 'Classic." Clients have used these as marinades in cooking, as a pizza base, and icing for children's' cakes and cupcakes.

At this time, Bisou is found in Farmers Markets, Jacobsons on Beechwood, Thyme and Again and couple more retailers. You can find us every Saturday at the Carp Farmers Market until the end of October.
