Strawberry season is finally upon us! This recipe uses strawberries in a very unique way – by turning them into salsa! This is a fresh, sweet and tangy appetizer perfect for your next summer BBQ.
washed, hulled, finely chopped
finely chopped about 1/4 cup
deseeded, finely chopped
or lime juice
In a large mixing bowl or salad bowl, add strawberries, onions, jalapeno, cilantro, lemon juice, salt, pepper, honey (optional).
Mix everything together until fully combined.
Cover and let all the flavours marinate for 20-30 minutes in the fridge.
Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!
Leftovers can be stored in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
