This Week's Event

This weekend is our 17th Annual Carp Garlic Festival and we couldn't be more excited! For two days - Saturday 8am to 3pm & Sunday 10am to 3pm, you’ll be able to shop from 120+ local vendors, choose from 65 varieties of garlic, eat at our international food court and take part in our special garlic themed events! Also take in a musical performance by the Mobile Millennium Carillon Saturday only starting at 10am!

Saturday August 13th:

• 8:00am – Festival Opens!

• 9:30am – The Best Garlic Contest - view the entries at our Events Tent

• 10:00am – Garlic Tasting Event begins + NEW this year - are you brave enough to take a Garlic Shot? (Events Tent)

• 10:00am – Mobile Millennium Carillon Performance taking place until 3pm – Today Only

• 10:30am – Cooking Demo with Andre from the Cheshire Cat Pub, Carp

• 11:30am – Growing Great Garlic with John Moore of Wolfgrove Garlic

• 12:30pm – Presentation of the Jim Craig Memorial Award for Best Garlic Booth

• 1:00pm – Cooking Demo with Debra Lloyd, retired chef, Ottawa Valley

• 2:00pm – Dealing with Leek Moth, Bulb & Stem Nematode & other garlic pests with David McCreery

• 3:00pm – Festival Closes. See you tomorrow

Sunday August 14th:

• 10:00am – Festival Opens! Garlic Tasting Event begins + NEW this year - are you brave enough to take a Garlic Shot? (Events Tent)

• 10:30am –Braiding Garlic with Catherine Cheff of Cheff Fields Farms

• 11:30am – Growing Great Garlic with John Moore of Wolfgrove Garlic

• 1:00pm – Cooking Demo with Robert Slackoni, Slackoni’s Fine Italian Cuisine, Carleton Place

• 2:00pm – How to unlock the health benefits of garlic with Kylah Dobson of Rainbow Heritage Garden

• 3:00pm – Festival Closes! See you next Saturday for our regular market day 8am to 1pm!

Information Section

The Carp Farmers’ Market is the largest producer based Farmers’ Market in Eastern Ontario! The Market is open every Saturday from May until the end of October from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine. Entrance and parking are free and the market is wheelchair-accessible.

Upcoming Events

August 20 – YOGA DAY & 4H Club Corn Roast. Take part in our FREE yoga class brought to you by Brenna from Inner Revolution Yoga Studio. Class will start at 10am on the lawn of the Exhibit Hall. Class will be suitable for all levels of experience. Please bring your own yoga matt. Also come sample the season’s freshest corn on the cob at our 4H Club Corn Roast!

August 27 – KIDS’ CLUB. Doll & Teddy Bear Day!

September 3 – Kin Vineyards Wine Day & Community Food Advisor. Wine day featuring Kin Vineyards.

September 10 - Alpaca Day! Come meet the animals and learn more about alpaca wool and weaving. 

September 17 - Sampling Day: Apples & KIDS' CLUB!

September 24 - CLOSED FOR CARP FAIR. See you need weekend!
