This Week's Event
KIDS’ CLUB! Doll & Teddy Bear Day. Join us this Saturday at the rear of the exhibit hall at our Kids’ Club Tent and make your own animal hand puppet! Big thanks to Laurie Craig, The Doll Lady, who graciously donated the puppet kits. Kids will be able to choose their own animal hand puppet kit (teddy bear, duck, tiger, cat or dog) and put it together following the instructions to take home and play with! There will also be a Doll and Teddy Bear Clinic so bring your dolls and teddy bears to the Kids' Club Tent and get a check-up and repair by Dr. Lox, our resident dolly doctor.

Today's newsletter features a Grilled Veggie Ratatouille recipe leading us to feature some interesting facts about the history behind this famous french dish.
The word "ratatouille" comes from the french term "touiller" meaning to toss food. Originating in what we presently know as Nice, ratatouille was a meal typically made by poor farmer's and made using the fresh vegetables in season during the summer months.
The original ratatouille recipe consists of zucchinis, tomatoes, green and red bell peppers, onions and garlic. Today many recipes incorporate eggplant into the meal, similar to the recipe we're featuring in this week's newsletter!
