Happy Birthday to Us! It’s our 29th Birthday Party! This Saturday we celebrate the Carp Farmers' Market's 29th Birthday with lots and lots of cake! Our cake cutting ceremony will begin at 10:30am. If you haven't heard the news, we are also celebrating our birthday with a colouring contest! The late Hildegarde Anderson founded our Market in 1990. Hildegarde grew up attending producer only farmers’ markets in Saskatchewan. Her love of showcasing local producers led to the creation of the Carp Farmers’ Market. Twenty nine years later our Market has certainly grown quite a bit but still features two vendors (Andy Terauds of Acorn Creek & Lis Alison of Pine Ridge Studio) who were both there that opening day 29 years ago. On behalf of our vendors both new and old, thank you for continuing to support our group of local producers.

Colouring Contest for our 29th Birthday!
The Market is turning 29 years old and we want to celebrate! We’re so excited to share with you our KIDS’ CLUB Colouring Contest in celebration of our big birthday bash taking place July 6th!
The rules are simple:
• Download & print the colouring page by following the link to our website: https://carpfarmersmarket.ca/29-years-kids-club-colouring-contest/
• Get your little one(s) to colour the page. Contest open to kids 12 years of age and under. One entry per child.
• Fill out your child’s name, age and method of contact so that we can reach you should your child win! (phone or email)
• Come to the Carp Farmers’ Market at the Carp Fairgrounds on July 6th from 8am to 1pm to hand in the completed colouring page! Contest closes at 1pm, July 6th, 2019. All entries MUST be turned in at our Hostess Booth. Entries will NOT be accepted electronically. Entries must be completed ahead of time and will not be available at the Carp Market.
One lucky winner will be chosen and their artwork will be shared on our social media pages! The winner will also receive a special prize of their own to celebrate the Carp Market’s 29th Birthday. Prize to be picked up the following Saturday, July 13th at the Carp Farmers’ Market. Happy colouring!

The Carp Farmers’ Market is the largest producer based Farmers’ Market in Eastern Ontario! The Market is open every Saturday from May until the end of October from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine. Entrance and parking are free and the market is wheelchair-accessible.
