This Weeks Market!

This Week's Event

This Saturday July 23rd from 8am to 1pm, we're celebrating the honeybee with a special info session from Lacelle’s Apiary! Learn all about this vital creature that plays such a crucial role in our ecosystem. Come meet the beekeepers, learn about the process of how they get honey from the field to the table and come see if you can spot the Queen Bee! The Honey Day event tent will be located at the rear of the market.

Information Section

If you haven't heard the exciting news yet, our 17th Annual Garlic Festival is fast approaching. On Saturday August 13th to Sunday August 14th, the Carp Fairgrounds will be home to what has grown to be the largest garlic festival in Canada!

This, the 17th Annual Garlic Festival, promises to be bigger and better than ever before! Running from 8.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. on Saturday and 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. on Sunday, over 120 booths showcasing 35 dedicated garlic vendors selling fresh garlic, garlic spreads, dips, braids and baskets, will join the 90 of your favourite Carp Farmers’ Market vendors to celebrate the harvest of “the stinking rose”! Over 60 varieties of garlic will be featured for buyers to taste and try, along with information sessions on choosing, growing and harvesting the bulb as well as cooking demonstrations. Enjoy the variety of the festival’s huge international food court, its ample parking, wheel chair accessibility and free admission. There really is something for everyone in the family. We can’t wait to see you all there!

Also, we are excited to announce that the Mobile Millennium Carillon will be making at stop at our Festival on Saturday August 13th! You'll be able to take in this spectacular musical event Saturday only from 10am until 3pm! Canada's Dominion Carillonneur, who normally plays at the top of the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill, Dr. Andrea McCrady, and her protégé Devon Hansen will be performing songs on this magnificent instrument that weighs a total of 26,000 pounds, allowing audiences to experience the music and performance at eye level!
